Let’s face it; it’s going to be a quiet Easter holiday weekend for almost everyone. The world has come to a standstill at the moment and we’re all confined to our homes during the COVID 19 lockdown, so there’s no better time to sit back, relax and watch a few movies. As an engineering company we thought we would share some of our favourite ‘engineering-themed’ movies to watch over the Easter holidays. Enjoy!
1. Iron Man (2008)
Coming in at number one is the unforgettable, charismatic Mr Tony Stark. After being kidnapped by a powerful terrorist organization, Stark narrowly escapes using an iron suit he crafted from scrap metal and spare parts. Upon returning home, he devotes all of his time and resources to perfecting the iron man suit, and using it to fight evil, sometimes in the place where he least expects it.

2. The Imitation Game (2014)
Based on the real life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing, the film portrays the nail-biting race against time by Turing and his brilliant team of code-breakers at Britain's top-secret Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II.

4. Apollo 13 (1995)
NASA must devise a strategy to return Apollo 13 to Earth safely after the spacecraft undergoes massive internal damage putting the lives of the three astronauts on board in jeopardy.

5. Ford v Ferrari (2019)
American automotive designer Carroll Shelby and fearless British race car driver Ken Miles battle corporate interference, the laws of physics and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary vehicle for the Ford Motor Co. Together, they plan to compete against the race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.
