Corporate Social Responsibility
Fundraising and Charitable Works
At Yelo we care about being socially responsible. Throughout the year we contribute to various charities such as Concern and Local Foodbanks.
In 2019 Yelo became a matched funding partner for the Ration Challenge UK campaign. By becoming a Matched Funding partner we have contributed to a matched funding pot which will be used to drive donations for this campaign, matching fundraising donations pound for pound and ultimately increasing the amount of money raised to support refugees and internally displaced people within their own country.

Investing in Futures
For the past few years, we have been running an event for the Northern Ireland Science Festival. Local schools in Co Antrim were invited down to our factory and built and programmed a buggy, raced them along an obstacle course, and received a BBQ as a reward for their efforts.
We have also sponsored a student through the Arkwright Scholarship which is the most prestigious scholarship of its type in the UK to inspire and nurture school-age students to be the country’s future leaders of the Engineering Profession. The Scholarships are awarded to high-calibre 16-year-old students through a rigorous selection process and support students through the two years of their A levels, Scottish Advanced Highers, or equivalent qualifications.

Giving Back to the Community
We are regular sponsors of the local Carrickfergus Rugby 7's tournament, supplying kits for some of the local teams as well as sponsoring a non-profit group called 'We are Uplift' which took a group of kids to Los Angeles to compete in the 'Dance Excellence competition.
The aim of 'We are Uplift' is to help students and cast members with confidence and self-esteem by using the three main disciplines of performing arts.

Feeling Festive
We regularly donate to Carrickfergus foodbank in the Christmas season. Last year our employees donated two full trolleys of food and £220 in monetary donations.
