Working at Yelo

Are you wondering exactly what we do?

Yelo is a rapidly growing, world leading test engineering company. Established in 1983, we have grown to become a market leader in the development of automated test equipment for the Photonics industry. Our equipment is used in labs throughout the world, by some of the largest corporations and we are continuing to grow our customer base.

Our growth has enabled us to build a new state of the art 25,000 sq ft factory in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. This facility has; Shower facilities, pool/snooker room, a designated BBQ area and first class engineering facilites.

The main markets we work with are Data Centers and Telecommunication markets. They use light to carry information. This light is transmitted by lasers and Yelo ensure these lasers work reliably 24/7. If we didn't do this, websites like; Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube would not be able to operate and there would be no funny videos, memes, Netflix or cute pictures of dogs...

As an engineer at Yelo, you will play an important role in keeping the world connected.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Are you wondering exactly what we do?

At Yelo we care about being socially responsible. Throughout the year we contribute to various charities such as the RLNI, Local Foodbanks and Concern.

We are also regular sponsors of the local Carrickfergus Rugby 7's tournament supplying kits for some of the local teams as well as sponsoring a non-profit group called 'Dance Ex Outreach' which took a group of kids to Los Angeles to compete in the 'Dance Excellece' competition.

Are you wondering exactly what we do?

For the past few years we have been running an event for the NI Science Festival. Local schools in Co Antrim were invited down to our factory and built and programmed a buggy, raced them along an obstacle course and received a BBQ.
