Yelo's Director Richard Furey was in attendance at the EPIC Photonics Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Eindhoven last week (6-7 April 2017). The two event was attended by over 200 EPIC members and over 150 of the leading Photonics leaders from over 20 different countries.
The first day started off with workshops on entrepreneurship and public funding and continued with several presentations on; semiconductor process control by using optical technologies, high-yield fiber processing for high power applications, sensor manufacturing and the telecom sector and the future of digital photonic production. The day concluded with the presentation of the EPIC Phoenix Award which went to Dutch company Next Scan Technologies.
The second day had a number of interesting talks including; Technologies for aerospace applications and advanced specialty optical fibres for bio-medicine.
